We're a couple from Barcelona, ​​and we've traveled to several cities in Japan. Honestly, for buying souvenirs, gifts, and little trinkets, this is definitely the best shop. Really love this place and was the place I found a good variety of tanuki statues/figurine in Nishiki Market. I also bought a bowl and the lady speaks a little bit English but really willing to explain to me the sentences / characters on it too. Another place for tanuki statue with equivalently good price is日盛堂 close to Kyomizu-dera. For porcelain bowl, Kyo no Furusato has some gud design, but an exceptional variety can be found at Ashahido Honten close to kyomizu-dera.
